On the fourteenth night, the ship was still being driven up and down on the sea. Land seemed to be near, but there was a danger of running aground on the rocks, and while they were waiting for day to come, the sailors let down a small boat and tried to escape. Even after they had heard God’s promise to keep their lives, actual dangers and things that had to be done still remained. Paul attended to those things and spoke for the lives of those sailing with him, and in the end they all reached land without a single person missing.
