Ch19_05_Sermon_Paul＇s plan for the spread of the gospel (Acts 19:21–22)

After the word of the Lord gained power in Ephesus, Paul’s plan included even Rome. He said that he would pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, and that after that he must also see Rome. But what is recorded following that plan is not that Paul left at once, but that he first sent Timothy and Erastus and he himself stayed longer in Asia. A heart looking ahead was followed by the action of sending people to work together with him. We too, when we plan the work of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, must not think only of where to go, but must consider to whom we will preach what, and with whom we will do that work.
